PLAT DU JOUR : Stir-fried Veggies on Mash with Grilled Russian
For Today’s Lunch:
Stir-fried Veggies on Potato & Turnip Mash with Grilled Chicken Russian
I raided
the refrigerator and collected everything that looked only slightly less than enthusiastic.
The potatoes
and turnip became fluffy mash with lotsa butter and some ground tarragon. The veggies
ended up as stir-fry with a dark soy sauce, Chinese 5-spice, lemon juice & Thai
style sweet chilli sauce glaze. The chicken russian made the ultimate sacrifice:
it got grilled.
Next time
I’ll drop the dark soy sauce. It’s a wee bit overbearing.
